The Story of a Blanket
I bought this blanket at a flea market in Brooklyn in the middle of the Winter dreaming of the adventures it would accompany me on in the Summer.
This weekend alone the blanket has gotten it's summer use by coming along on a trip to the beach on Saturday followed by a picnic in McCarren Park on Sunday.
I actually got this beach bag years ago in Puerto Rico during a trip in high school and it matches the blanket almost too well!
We ended up at Jacob Riis Park. A big open beach with a huge parking lot and food vendors dispersed.
We arrived around 11:30 and enjoyed being lazy in the sun.
With some reading, chatting, eating and...
...lounging in between.
We ended up staying until about 5pm and headed home to get ready and change for a night on the town!
I woke up Sunday with a craving to continue lounging but this time include snacks!
Bubbly, cheese, berries, Triscuits, black and white cookies galore!
The best summer clutch (Samudra).
Nothing but blue skies!
And more lounging! Weekend why must you come and go so quickly?!
Back to the grind.....
